Blackbird Class Medieval Banquet

The school hall was turned into the grand banquet hall of a castle. Draped around the walls were coats of arms which the children made as part of their homework project – they looked stunning.  The children were all dressed in costumes and it felt like the school hall had been transported back in time! The banquet started with a short rendition of ‘Greensleeves’ played on the xylophones by all the children.  This was then followed by the banquet feast; eating the delicious delights that were provided by the guests.  Further entertainment was provided in the form of jousting and archery – both pastimes of King Henry VIII.  Well done Blackbird Class, it was a great celebration of all your hard work!
