PSHE News

This week a ‘Change 4 Life’ leaflet has gone home with your child with details about the Family Snack Challenge. To earn Aspire points, children could try to follow the 7 day challenge (details are inside the leaflet). Complete the leaflet and return it to Mrs Barr to be awarded with an Aspire point for achievement.

Also, if you go to the ‘Change 4 Life’ website there is a healthy recipe section which has lots of new dishes to try and make at home (with adult supervision). We are setting ourselves a school challenge; to try and make a dish from one of the tasty looking recipes! When you are preparing, cooking or eating your creation it would be brilliant if you could take a photo of yourself and your dish. We will be displaying the photos that you send in on our PSHE display board. This activity will also earn you an Aspire point. The staff at Andoversford Primary School are also going to attempt this challenge, even Mr Hitchman!

Recipes and more information about the governments Change 4 life initiative can be found here:

As part of the Change 4 Life campaign we have been creating some delicious healthy dishes at home. The children and staff have been bringing in photographs of their creations and we have been sharing them in our Wednesday assemblies and displaying them on our PSHE Healthy Eating Board. If you make a healthy dish at home feel free to send in a picture! At school, the children have also been trying to make healthy choices as part of their lunchtime meals. Last week our school council members were busy handing out stickers to those who made a healthy choice by including fruit or vegetable choices as part of their lunch. Well done Andoversford on maintaining our Healthy Eating awareness!
