Sports4Schools Athlete Visit

Jack Rutter Visits Andoversford Primary School

On Tuesday 12th November we had the pleasure of a GB Paralympic Footballer the school. Jack Rutter had an amazing story to tell after recovering from a life changing incident which left him with brain damage that seriously affected his balance and hearing. After years of hard work he became a Paralympic Footballer and the Captain of the England Cerebral Palsy Football Team.

Everyone had a fun time taking part in a sponsored fitness circuit led by Jack to help raise money. We did a variety of exercises including spotty dogs, star jumps and mountain climbers!
Once the fitness circuits were completed, Jack held an assembly. He spoke to us about his injury and how he worked hard to become a GB Paralympic Footballer. He was such an inspiration to us all and showed us that with hard work and effort you can achieve anything.

Many important messages were remembered:
"Believe in yourself, you can do anything!"
