Willow Class Remote Learning

Hello Willows!

Here is where I will post your Daily Learning Pack for you to complete at home every day.

Friday 5th March 2021

Hi Willow Class!

It's our last day of home learning before we are all back together in the classroom. Can you believe it? How quickly have the last few weeks gone?!
I can't wait to see you all!

You have all done such a fantastic job over the last few weeks completing all of the home learning tasks I have been setting.

I am so so proud of each of you!

Today, to finish off our home learning, we are going to have a Screen-Free Friday!
I have shared a document with you with lots of fun things that you can do at home.

Before you do these activities, have a look at the Back to School Checklist and pack your bag ready for Monday.
Make sure you watch the video I have recorded answering all of the questions that each of you sent me on Monday.
You must go through the checklist and watch the video before any of the other activities today.

As I said during our Zoom call yesterday, if you think of any other questions or things that you want to ask, send me a message on the VLE today and I will do my best to find out the answer for you ahead of Monday!

Another great thing today is Chester Zoo are going live from 10am again!
This time, they are showing chameleons, rhinos, lemurs and capybara's.
I have put the link in our resources section for today if you want to tune in!

Make sure you send me lots of pictures of what you get up to at home today.

I can't wait to see you all on Monday back in the classroom!
Thursday 4th March 2021

Happy World Book Day!
Don't forget to bring your favourite book to our Zoom call at 10am today! Remember, you can bring a print out of the cover or a picture you've drawn too!

Today, I have given you lots of fun World Book Day activities to choose from.
Make sure you send me lots of pictures of your creations to share on our webpage and social media channels!

If you haven't already, I need to know how many hours and minutes you've read for as part of Mrs Bradley-McKay's Lockdown Reading Challenge.
Today is the last day to send me these as the winner's are being announced in tomorrow's ASPIRE assembly!

Wednesday 3rd March 2021
Today, I need to see your Spelling activity and your Master the Maths task.

Before you begin your home learning today, can each of you take a picture of your Lockdown Reading Challenge booklet and send me a photo?

As well as this, can you each add up how much time you have spend reading over the last 3 weeks and send this to me on VLE please?

Mrs Bradley-McKay is announcing the winner in Friday's ASPIRE assembly, so please make sure you send me this today.
Tuesday 2nd March 2021

Today, I need to see your Master the Maths activity and your Wicked Writing task.

I have sent each of you a message on the VLE, but today we have a Class Zoom call at 2:15pm.
Please make sure you're there!
Monday 1st March 2021
Today, I need to see your Number Sense activity and your PSHCE poster.

Today, for our PSHCE task, we are going to be thinking about our return to school next week. There is some more information in our Daily Learning Pack about today's activity, but it's really important that you are honest about your feelings during this activity.

Don't forget the Times Table Rockstar's competition that takes place between 1pm and 5pm each day.
It finishes on Wednesday, so try to get as many points as you can before then!
Friday 26th February 2021

Today, I need to see your Wicked Writing.

You'll notice today that there is only 1 activity highlighted that you need to send to me.

Spend as long as you need today publishing your short adventure story.
As I have mentioned in the Daily Learning Pack, I would like to display these in the classroom when we are so presentation is super important today.
Make sure your published story is handwritten too!

There is also an opportunity today to finish off any tasks this week that you didn't get round to completing!

It's the last Friday of February which means we have some time to DROP EVERYTHING AND READ!
What a fabulous opportunity to add some time to your Lockdown Reading Challenge!
Well done to every single one of you that took part in the Extreme Reading Lockdown Edition!
It was so hard to choose just 1 winner, so I've listed the top 3!

Hey Willow Class,
Anna and her family sent me a very special message on Sunday evening.
Make sure you take a watch!
Thank you to the Masefield’s for organising such a lovely surprise for our class!
