...we offer a unique Early Years experience!
Children in the Nursery Year (YN, which starts the September following their 3rd birthday), join Ash Class alongside pupils in their Reception Year. Together they begin their learning adventure by following a teacher-led journey through the Early Years.
Parents can follow the journey on the Ash Class page of the website. We also use Tapestry to share what your child is getting up to during the day. You can use your 15-hours, or extended 30-hours childcare funding to pay for places to join The Pre-School at Andoversford.
Lunch can be provided by our caterers and is charged through Parent Pay. Parents may also choose to send their child with a packed lunch.
The Pre-School at Andoversford is fully integrated with Andoversford Primary School and has therefore adopted all policies associated with Andoversford Primary School. Some additional policies and procedures are in place which specifically relate to the Early Years. These can be found below:

Help with Funding
All 3 to 4-year-olds in England can get 570 free childcare hours per year. It’s usually taken as 15 hours a week for 38 weeks of the year. You can use your funded hours for a place at The Pre-School at Andoversford. Your child can be enrolled in full-day, morning or afternoon sessions to use the hours, however we suggest a minimum commitment of 15 hours per week to gain experience across a wider range of learning activities.
A key message which may be helpful for parents, is to choose a morning session rather than an afternoon if you would like your child to do a half-day. This is because social interactions and activities often start at the beginning of the day and children arriving later can find it challenging to join in with their friends when they have missed the start of something.
We offer the option to book additional chargeable sessions, which can be paid for by invoice, tax-free childcare schemes or you may be entitled to additional funding vthorugh the working parents extended scheme. More information about support with funding options can be found here:
