Wishing you all an enjoyable summer
As the term draws to a close, I would like to say a huge thank you to everyone in our community who has contributed to Andoversford being the incredibly special place it is. Our children are so fortunate to have such a dedicated team around them to ensure they have a range of opportunties and ensure that they thrive in their primary school journey.
Now, it is time to put our feet up, relax and recharge the batteries! Enjoy your holiday and make the most of all the adventures it brings. School is now closed for the summer! See you all in September!
Autumn 2025 Clubs are now live on ParentPay
All Autumn Term wraparound and club payments are now live on ParentPay. As with last term, you are able to pay the full amount in one go or choose your own instalments for the amount and date which best suits you.
Please note, the due date for the balance of all payments to be cleared is Friday 28th November, ahead of the booking window opening for Spring Term 2026.
How do I find the payments?
When you log into your ParentPay account, you will be able to find the information under “other payment items”. Please check that the clubs you have been allocated match what you have booked.
If you use a Tax-Free Childcare account for your payments, you are still able to pay for clubs in this way. Please let us know when you have made a direct payment to the school so we can reconcile the amount on ParentPay.
For new starters joining us in September, please be aware that your spaces have been booked. You will receive confirmation on ParentPay in September once your child is officially on our school roll.
If you missed the deadline but your child would like to do a club in the Summer Term, please get in touch so that we can get their place booked.
If you have any queries, please don’t hesitate to get in touch with the school office.

Solar Panels incoming…
Over the summer break you may notice some work going on here at school. We are delighted to be getting rooftop solar panels installed over the holidays.
The panels will help us further our sustainability goals by helping to produce lovely green energy for our school. Any excess energy produced is used by Gloucestershire County Council, so there’s no waste!
The solar panels will not only reduce our reliance on energy from fossil fuels, it will also help us to save money on our bills too.
We look forward to updating you once the work is complete.

Oak Class News
Dear Parents and Families,
With not long to go until the end of the term, I am asking for children to bring in a bag or a box to take their books home with them tomorrow. I am sure you will all be impressed with the amount of amazing work Oak Class has produced this year- I know that they will enjoy showing you through their learning journey so far.
I also wanted to let families know that they can have a look at the Oak Clss page for pictures from the Recorder concert and homework showcase last week, for anyone who could not attend. They should be very proud of the things they have acheived.
Thank you for your continued support,
Miss D-W
Beech and Willow Class News
Good Afternoon Beech and Willow Class families,
As part of our activities tomorrow, we are going to be playing some board games. If your child has a particular game that they would like to play with others, they are very welcome to bring it in. We will also have plenty of games available in school so please do not worry if this is not possible.
Many thanks for your continued support,
Mrs Fisher and Miss Packer
The importance of reading
We wanted to share the below article that details some key points about the value of reading to children to boost literacy and life chances:

As the summer holidays approach and routines may change, please do still find the time to read with your child. The Library Challenge run by Gloucestershire Libraries is a fantastic way to encourage reading and learning throughout the holidays. This year’s theme is The Natural World – there are some fantastic tasks and quizzes available to boost your child’s learning and love of reading, even while school’s out.
You can find more about the challenge here: Welcome to The Library Challenge! | Gloucestershire Libraries
New clothing bank for North Cotswolds Rotary
We have a wonderful new clothing bank located in the school office. It belongs to North Cotswolds Rotary, to collect good quality new or second-hand clothing to be passed on to local families who are struggling with the cost of clothing for their growing children.
North Cotswolds Rotary have several donation bins dotted around the area and we are delighted to be able to offer a home to one too.
Donations will be collected regularly by volunteers. The North Cotswolds Rotary then sort the donations for quality, age, gender etc. Volunteers pick and pack up orders, which are then distributed to local families via our local Parent Support Advisor for North Cotswold Primary Schools. North Cotswolds Rotary do not hold any personal data and everything is anonymous and coded.
If you have clean, good quality clothes and shoes lying around waiting for a new home, please do consider donating them to The North Cotswolds Rotary via our new donation bin in the school office.
We also still have our clothing recycling bank on site, available for clothes that have reached their end of life.
We do have a Parent Support Advisor working with our school. Please do get in touch with the School Office if you feel this service would be useful and we can put you in touch with them.
