Today, our amazing volunteers from Ontic have put the finishing touches to the outdoor project. It is incredible to look back over the last few weeks and marvel at what has been achieved. Just one month ago, the project started with a conversation, which set the wheels in motion very quickly and look at what has been achieved!

The volunteers have worked tirelessly to revamp and open up some of the areas in Forest School which were not accessible. They have created new pathways, rediscovered hidden routes and helped to ensure that everyone will enjoy the delights that are available in the nature area - wildlife included! So many resources have been recycled and repurposed, including any branches which were cut down to open up the space. They were turned into chipping’s which now help create useful ground cover. All of the logs have been used to create a wildlife haven, and some of the old fencing has even helped rebuild the raised beds - all ready for gardening club!

We are so pleased with the final results and cannot thank the volunteers from Ontic enough. Thank you!
