Welcome to 2022

4 January 2022 (by Rachel Bradley McKay (Head))

Happy New Year!

We hope that you have all had a relaxing and restful festive break! We are very excited to get stuck into Art Week this week. The theme is recycled and sustainable art, so we will be re-using lots of materials to create some stunning pieces. Each Class will also learn about William Morris and his Nature inspired artwork as well as taking part in some outdoor workshops. We will be working with a local sculptor to create some large pieces of permanent art for the nature area! We can't wait! As some activities will be taking place outdoors, all children will need to bring appropriate coats for the weather - hats, scarves and gloves might also come in handy!

This term, we welcome Miss Gunnell to the team - I'm sure Oak Class will help her settle in no time.

Over the holiday period, you will no doubt have seen that cases of Covid-19 are still very high and causing concern. You can find our latest Risk Assessment on the school website. There are a few changes linked to the updated guidance around self-isolation, but as we were already undertaking enhanced measures in Gloucestershire the day to day running will stay the same. The Risk Assessment and Contingency Plan is regularly reviewed by the Governing Board to help keep our community as safe as possible.
