Snow Update

14 December 2022 (by Rachel Bradley McKay (Head))

Today was another beautiful wintry day. It has been incredible to see children enjoying themselves in the snow again. The temperature is set to stay very low again overnight so please watch out for any frozen patches on your way to school in the morning.

It has become our norm for the week, but please do make sure your child has suitable outdoor clothing and shoes. Leggings, joggers or other warmer trousers should be worn with a school t-shirt and jumper to ensure children are warm and comfortable. It has been helpful to have at least one more layer to put on before going out. A change of shoes/slippers is very useful and top tip has been to have a spare pair of socks. It is so much easier to warm up after a snowy adventure if you have dry feet!

Unfortunately, the hall is still out of use as the plumbing team have been unable to get hold of the part they need. The children have been very sensible and helping each other out while we have been eating in the classrooms, which luckily remain nice and warm! Catering supplies are back to normal - with an extra long walk as we cannot get cars onsite yet! Thank goodness the travel containers they are well insulated!

Classes have been busy filming their sections of the Christmas performance, which we will be sharing with you at 5:30 tomorrow. We hope that you will all join us to watch the premiere together so we can share the experience even though we are apart. Grab a hot chocolate and snuggle up together and enjoy the show!
