During the next half term (lasting 5 weeks), Maths homework in Oak Class will change. Rather than completing their Daily Maths Practice book each evening, the children will be provided with resources to play games with you at home. The games focus on developing children’s number sense so that the children will have all of the number facts they need at their finger-tips. I will be running a one-hour workshop for each year group where you can come in and learn how to play the games alongside your child, ready for the five week programme which will start in the first week back. The majority of you who completed the form online requested the workshops to be held in the afternoon, therefore the workshops will run as follows: YEAR 2-Monday 27^th February 2pm-3pm ; YEAR 1- Tuesday 28^th February 2pm-3pm. If you are unable to attend, it would be really useful if another family member or friend could attend as the children will be working in pairs with their adult during the workshop.
