Are you a parent of a Year 5 or Year 6 child who….

• Is concerned about their behaviour, anxiety or any mental health difficulties?
• Has concerns about their progress (perhaps reading, writing and/or handwriting) or think they may have sensory processing difficulties?
• Is worried about their transition to secondary school?
• Is not sure who to turn to or where to get information?

Headspace is holding a free information evening on 23^rd November for parents.  The informal evening brings together invited guests from several local services who can offer advice and support about your child’s needs.

Parents will have the opportunity to find out about the free counselling and wellbeing services that Headspaces offers to young people aged 11-19 years.

Professionals who have been invited include:

Helen Sharman-Jones - Headspace Wellbeing Lead

Anna Chalmers - Paediatric Occupational Therapist

Kate Morris - Specialist dyslexia teacher and assessor

Gemma Wingrove - SENDIASS Adviser, North Cotswolds, SENDIASS Gloucestershire

Karen Price - Social Prescribing Link Worker for Children and Young People - North Cotswolds

Sadie Brewin - Headspace wellbeing volunteer, Breathwork and Mindfulness wellbeing group leader

The evening will take place in the George Moore Community Centre in Bourton on the Water and will begin at 6pm with a brief introduction from the guests to help you understand their role.  You are then free to spend the remainder of the time speaking to these professionals with any questions you have around your child’s needs.
