Easter Celebrations

28 February 2024 (by Rachel Bradley McKay (Head))

Easter will soon be upon us so it is time to reveal what the children will be making for the Easter Class Competitions! Please see the details below for each class. If your child wants to take part, entries should be made at home and brought in on the last day of term - Friday 22nd March. We can’t wait to see what the children create!

Ash

This year, Ash will be making their own Easter bonnets! You can decorate your bonnet however you wish to and we will be looking forward to seeing your creations in our bonnet parade.

Oak

Oak Class will be making their own miniature Easter garden. This can be a growing garden in a small pot or bowl – but equally decorated paper plates work really well to craft an Easter garden design.

Beech

Beech Class will be following on from their cooking project tis term with some Easter baking. Decorated biscuits, cakes or other treats can be entered into the competition.

Willow

Willow Class will be making an egg character or scene. Your child could decorate a real egg to become the central character in their Easter scene – or foam/paper eggs make a great alternative.

On Friday 22nd March 2024, parents, carers, friends and family are all invited to join us for the annual Easter celebrations, starting at 11:30 with the famous egg rolling experience. Children who wish to take part in the egg rolling, will need to decorate their hard-boiled egg at home and bring it into school.

This will be followed by the house treasure hunt and then our Easter picnic – let’s hope the weather is kind to us this year! More details about the picnic to follow. The timetable for the day is on the calendar which can be accessed through the jotter app or website.

P.S.  This has been a short term, with lots going on so in all the excitement around these activities, please don’t forget your story jars for World Book Day too!
